Flick ‘n Roll is honored to be a proud member of AAWPA, and a sponsor as their featured photographer for their first networking mixer event hosted at Crowne Plaza in Fullerton, California. To make this evening even more special, it was also the graduation night for their wedding consulting students. All wedding professionals and attendees had a chance to vote for the best design project presented by the graduating students.

The winning team goes to Alisha Ted, and Tina Chiou and their sponsor J’Adore Florist.

The evening kicked off with food and drinks by Chef Fred Chang @ the RED Chinese restaurant of Crown Plaza Fullerton. The inviting aroma of the food met me before I noticed anything else in the ball room. The presentation of the food was absolutely mouth-watering. By the time I finished eating, I was completely satisfied. It was a beautiful, tasty meal. Chef Chang also had on display, a full table of dishes from a traditional Chinese banquet. Who wouldn’t want to be served with a delicious 11-course feast like this for their wedding?

While everyone had fun networking, the evening continued on with the music by Jack from The Music Man Productions. Jack will be the MC for one of our clients’ wedding in early 2011, (so we’re looking forward to working with him.)

After the students’ presentation came the highlight of the night – the raffle drawing. Some of the prizes consisted of: facial gift certificates, blenders (by Twogether Events), DVD case, books (The Best Wedding Reception ~ double autographs by the author Peter Merry on front and back cover, LOL) , surprise gifts from Hilton and two gift certificates for 1 night free staying at the Crowne Plaza Fullerton as well.

The evening concluded with a special private hotel tour by the General Manager of Crowne Plaza Fullerton Mr Achiles Young. He showed us their banquet hall, the RED Chinese Restaurant, Courtyard and he even took us to see the Presidential Suite. I’m sure the bride & groom will love the nice touches of the decorations and definitely will make them an unforgettable evening at this spacious suite.

I believe everyone’s business will benefit from an event like this and I’m excited for the next one coming up in February 2011.
